Stone Brewery Beer Cellaring Page

I came across a pretty cool section of the Stone Brewery Website that’s all about cellaring beers. They age a number of their own beers, and then do tastings of them at six month intervals. It’s pretty interesting to read their commentary on how the various beers are changing over time.

But that’s not even the best thing about this site.

What’s really cool is the videos they’re producing. Most are about the various beer tastings and other goings on at the brewery, but one in particular is all about their philosophy on cellaring beer. It’s interesting that their head brewer feels that using a refrigerator to cellar beer is definitely the way to go. He also recommends a lower cellaring temperature (in the forties) then is typically recommended by most brewers. Good stuff!

Now I just have to figure out how to worm my way into one of these tastings….
