Some beer cellaring links
By jason on Aug 18, 2007 in Links
Feeling very lazy today, so it’s a perfect opportunity to share some links to articles and sites I’ve found recently about the beer cellaring craze (OK, maybe it’s not a craze yet, but I’m trying to get it there!)
All About Beer Magazine - The Art of Aging Gracefully - A great article about aging beer focusing on the Belgian side of things.
Beverage Tasting Institute - Beer is a Perishable Product - Provides some good recommendations and advice for buying beers for your cellar
Where to try aging beers and brands to sample - Some more recommendations for your cellar
Drinking Old Beer - Quick little article providing some good advice on cellaring
What you didn’t drink this weekend: Cellared Beer - Another quick little article describing the author’s experience with beer cellaring
Brewery Ommegang - Wisdom in the cellar - A look at one brewery’s philosophy on cellaring beer. Makes some interesting states alluding to the effect of yeast and spices on beer aging.
That’s all for now. I think I’ll break open that Flying Dog Imperial Porter I’ve been meaning to try - it’s perfect for a lazy afternoon!
