Vintage Beer: The Kulminator Beer Pub

It’s not that often that I find myself wandering the streets of Antwerp Belgium.

Okay, so maybe I’ve never found myself wandering the streets of Antwerp. But if I ever did find myself there, you could bet your left nut I would make a beeline for one of the most famous beer cafes in the world, the Kulminator Beer Pub (This was the only picture of it I could find - it’s the second one down on the page).

What makes the Kulminator so unique is their unmatched list of aged vintage beers. Imperial stouts, old ales and an amazing variety of Belgian brews all await your tasting here. I can’t even imagine what their cellar must look like. I’d probably cry like a baby if I ever saw it.

If you’re interested, be sure to check out BeerAdvocate and RealBeer’s websites, just do a search and you’ll find a bunch of info on it. Here’s another blog where you can find a description of a visit to the Kulminator.

My wife and I are planning a visit to Germany next year (plenty of beer cellars there!) I wonder if I can make it over….
