Catching Up On Some Beer Cellaring Links….

Happy Valentines day! Here’s some recent cellaring links from around the web.
It’s another mention of beer cellaring in a major publication! This time it was the Washington Post with an article called Brews That Stand The Test of Time by Greg Kitsock. Good stuff!
Great brewers get to have all the fun. In this case the great brewer is Tomme Arthur of the Lost Abbey brewery, and the fun he’s having is an amazing 35-year vertical tasting of Thomas Hardy’s Ale.
Stewart over at Slow Beer has done a great job of telling us how to figure out bottling dates for a number of famous beer brands.
If there’s another blog out there that loves their aged beers, it’s It’s Pub Night, a fantastic blog covering the Portland Oregon brew scene. Be sure to check out the vertical tasting of Deschutes’ Jubel Ale, along with some notes of a number of aged Barleywines.
The Brew Site comes through with a tasting of a Stone 2005 Double Bastard Ale. It was a very timely review for me, as I have just came into possession recently of a 2003 Double Bastard, which I plan on saving until the next vintage is released next November or so.
As always, thanks for reading!
Jason
