Cool Beer Cellars: Gramercy Tavern, New York City

Even before they were featured on a NY Times blog article about pairing vintage beers with food, the Gramercy Tavern in New York City was known for their fantastic selection of aged brews and ciders (never mind the awesome food). If you check out the their list of cellared beers, you’ll see some very interesting selections.

I’m happy to say I’m already cellaring four or five of these, but I intend to get most if not all of them downstairs eventually. I haven’t heard of the Hitachino from Japan, the Sinebrychoff Porter from Finland, or the Pripps Carnegie Porter from Sweeden. You can bet I’ll be looking for these on my next trip to the beverage mart!
